Adaptation of Beck Weathers ‘Left for Dead’ opens in Cinemas September 16…

In 1996 Beck Weathers and a climbing team pushed toward the summit of Mount Everest. Then a storm exploded on the mountain, ripping the team to shreds, forcing brave men to scratch and crawl for their lives. Rescuers who reached Weathers saw that he was dying, and left him.

Left for Dead : My Journey Home from Everest

Twelve hours later, the inexplicable occurred. Weathers appeared, blinded, gloveless, and caked with ice—walking down the mountain. In this powerful memoir, now featuring a new Preface, Weathers describes not only his escape from hypothermia and the murderous storm that killed eight climbers, but the journey of his life.

This is the story of a man’s route to a dangerous sport and a fateful expedition, as well as the road of recovery he has traveled since; of survival in the face of certain death, the reclaiming of a family and a life; and of the most extraordinary adventure of all: finding the courage to say yes when life offers us a second chance.

In the film adaptation titled Everest releasing in Cinemas Sepetmber 16, Jake Gyllenhaal, Keira Knightley, Josh Brolin (who plays Weathers), Jason Clarke, John Hawkes, and Sam Worthington  will star as the hikers.

Brolin plays the gruff Texas pathologist Beck Weathers, who had been left for dead in the snow when rescuers could not rouse him. He manages to get back on his feet, aided, the film suggests, by images that appear to him of his son and daughter and his wife Peaches (Robin Wright).

Fifty Shades Darker Coming Soon to Big Screen..

James Foley has been officially offered to direct sequel to the blockbuster erotic drama “Fifty Shades of Grey.”

“Fifty Shades of Grey” director, Sam Taylor-Johnson left the project in May over the creative differences with the book author E.L. James. This first Lucky Dey Novel winds its way through an L.A. landscape where the lights are bright, but the edges can be dark, perilously frayed, and populated with mix of human predators, amusing losers, and ambitious fringe dwellers.

Book Review :

I was given this book by the author for a honest review and I am extremely glad that I had the opportunity to read such an awesome novel!

One of the things that really got my attention about this book ( aside from the great story telling ) was the fact that sex slavery is a dark ugly truth that we have to face since it happens right on our door step. This crime/thriller was full of intense suspense and will not leave you disappointed especially with all its twists and turns.A brilliant story that follows Lucky Deys trials and tribulations while seeking out a runaway 15 year old girl.

Doug Richardson is a skilled writer whose words captured my attention from the beginning. This novel was a page turner and I am positive you will not regret picking this one up!

‘Winds Of Winter’ News: Spoiler Alert !!

A Dance With Dragons

Now that the HBO series has finally caught up with the books about the fictional continent of Westeros, fans of the novels are craving more and more for “Winds of Winter” news, as there’s still no announcement about when the book’s being released.

While the last released episode of “Game of Thrones” saw Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie) probably killing Stannis (Stephen Dillane), in the books he’s said to be dead; Ramsay Bolton sends a letter to Jon Snow saying that his “false king is dead” – but this “Winds of Winter” news confirm that Bolton was lying.

Winter is Coming reports that this is specifically “Winds of Winter” news because the author said that it wasn’t altogether that Stannis was alive, confirming only that he remained around in his books – there’s still no word on whether this applies for the series as well.

New MTV Series to be Based On Fantasy Novels by Terry Brooks..

MTV’s new series is based on the best-selling fantasy books by Terry Brooks.

“The Shannara Chronicles” will debut on MTV in 2016.

The show itself centers on a half-human/half-elf named Wil (Austin Butler, The Carrie Diaries), an Elven princess named Amberle (Poppy Drayton), and a full human named Eretria (Ivana Baquero of Pan’s Labyrinth fame) who set out on a quest to save The Four Lands from a Demon army. The world of Shannara is clearly sprawling, and MTV seems to have respected the challenge of adapting it by throwing the requisite budget down to really bring Brooks’ words to life. It also has John Rhys-Davies as King Eventine.

Book Blurb:

In the far future, unbeknown to humankind, an apocalyptic war is brewing. Fearsome, vengeful Demons rage at the boundaries of the world, held at bay by a spell called the Forbidding. But now that barrier is dying. Evil is beginning to break through. And only the Chosen can banish the Demons back to their realm.

Wil Ohmsford is a healer, not a fighter; a man of duty, not great deeds. But this epic battle seeks him out, for he holds the Elfstones: mysterious protective talismans passed down by his grandfather. Wil is recruited to act as guardian to the Elf girl Amberle, who must venture far to deliver a seed that will help the Forbidding to grow again. The fate of civilization rests upon her shoulders—and the completion of her mission rests upon Wil’s. Now, as the forces of darkness descend, Wil and Amberle embark on a perilous journey, placing their faith in each other to survive the bloodthirsty terrors that await.

Al Gough and Miles Millar serve as executive producers and showrunners. Jon Favreau, Jonathan Liebesman, Brooks, Dan Farah and Gene Stein are exec producers, with Liebesman directing the first two episodes. MTV is producing with Sonar Entertainment.
